    Hey Folks,
Wondering if anyone here has installed a '41 or '42 Ford Coupe grill/front clip on a later Ford like '46-'48? I think the fenders are different on the '41, so being that I've always been very fond of the '42 I'm wondering if the grill would fit a '46?
    Thanks!

'42 has a one year only hood similar to the '41. If you swap in the grille make sure you get the hood.

  3. Did this to my 46. You need the complete front clip from the 41, fenders , hood , inner fenders and front supports.

So if I wanted to use a '42 grill, my '46 fenders would work with it? And make sure to get a '42 hood as well?

  5. Henry Ford himself did the same thing.Although he could have any car he wanted he had them put the later post war front end on his earlier personal car.Guess he wasn't one to waste anything he didn't have to.

Here's all three. You can see that you would have to change all the front sheetmetal from the '41, but with the '42 you might get away with just changing the hood and swapping grille parts. 1941_Ford_Super_Deluxe.jpg 1942 Ford Coupe.jpg 1946 Ford Coupe.jpg

Yah that's what I'm kind of hoping - that with the '42 I would only need to swap hood and grill.
