I am ready to wire up the electric cooling fan in my 1955 T-Bird with a mild 351 cleveland. I wanted to know what temperature sender some of you are using and how it performs. some are 185* on and 175* off, and another is 200* on and 185 or so off. 200* on seems kind of high to me. thanks,Henry
On my SBC I have 180* thermostat. Car runs 190 to 195. I think my temp sensor is on at 210 and off at 195. Fan hardly ever comes on, unless I am in stop and go traffic. When it does come on, fan can cool engine even if I am still in stop and go. Phil
I have a 195 on 175 off, Not sure how accurate these these things are, car seems to run around 180-190 but the fan isn’t on all the time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What thermostat do you use? I'm guessing something below 175 or fan would not turn off. Correct? Phil
These work great : Speedway--https://www.speedwaymotors.com/Speedway-Radiator-Cooling-Fan-Control-Module-for-Electric-Gauges,2356.html . Set any temp you want.
I find this interesting, Jegs has a kit Part Number: 555-10560 Single Fan Wiring Harness & Relay Kit Includes: (1) 185 degree On/170 degree Off Sensor for 180 degree Thermostat I would have thought that the fan would run all the time? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
