The Alazan was a full fendered show and street ‘30 or ‘31 Model A coupe that ran a McCulloch blown Lincoln engine. The carbs were fed through a large chrome airbox that had a bunch of smaller chromed tubes added for extra interest and for sure those kept show goers wondering and talking. The pictured car may have been a Model A sedan, I’m not sure about the body style, but it was a drag car with those wild, long length pipes.
That's Ted Cooper's Model A drag coupe. It was featured in the September '57 issue of Hot Rod. I believe the pipes were later removed because of a heating and maintenance issue. Mick
