I've been collecting parts for a few years and finally started the build a couple months ago. I started with my coupe on an A frame and a Tudor body.

I put the Tudor body on the A chassis, for a full fendered hot rod.

Now the project I've been planning for a while can start. It'll be a 60's era coupe on a deuce chassis with a 392 Hemi.

The perimeter frame was originally built by Mike Wagner (Cornfield Customs).

I narrowed the rear of the chassis and brought the rear cross member forward. I fabricated the ladder bar mounts, the tranny mount and the top piece of the x member. Then I fabbed and added the motor mounts and hairpin mounts.

The Frame is not pinched for the body, but is pinched at the front cross member. I will pie cut the firewall and front subrails to drop the body over the frame.

Here's some shots of the chassis so far...

I like the sedan and the coupe. They will be a nice pair in your garage.

Making room for the Hemi. I'm planning to tub the center section, but I had to move the beads over to make room for the distributor.. I'm trying to keep the stock look as much as possible.

    Thanks!

Pie cut the firewall since the frame is not pinched.

What are the plans for the rear subrail modifications?

Thanks all. Regarding the rear subrails, I don't have a photo of them, but I reformed some new ones. The front (behind the firewall) I pie cut to spread the firewall.

Stubby rear rails with spreader bar. Since I narrowed the rear I had to graft the horns on the outside. I wanted a full width spreader bar.
