Slowly getting stuff knocked off the list. Got my fuel lines all plumbed and the idler pulley setup all painted and mounted. Basically just gotta wire the car, find a belt for the engine, and a couple other little things and we're ready to fire the engine. Can't wait!
Took the car out to the Wheels of Time Rod and Custom Jamboree this weekend. The club offered us a crazy good spot to display it for the weekend. First time the car left the property in two years of building it. Great feedback from everyone that stopped by and it seemed well received. Hoping in the next week or so to get the car running 100% just waiting on the engine builder to get time to help me run it in and tune it, then it's just the final little details. Hoping I can bring it to some late summer/fall events if all goes well!
Cool build! I've been watching this one on Youtube, but i never noticed that it was on Hamb too. So, you are going to be back to Sweet Heart roadster build after this one?
Yep! I've got it back in the fab area. I plan to spend the majority of my winter shop time pushing to get that car done. I'm hoping to have all of the metal work done on it by spring!
Thats awesome! I think you should start a build thread of that project too. I am sure people like to see that one too. Keep up the good work!
Man I love the free T, and those pipes sound wicked! I can visualize this car with cycle fenders, but it probably is cooler just how it is!
Fantastic! One of my favorite builds you have done. Love your coupe as well. Keep up the great work and videos Matt, and thanks for sharing what you do.
Perfect. It looks like a cover car from Hop up around 1950. I absolutely love it. Sent from my SM-G935F using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
so wicked I came back to look again... quite the progression and that frame grows on you...sure am stoked you're doing the deuce firewall swap on the '31 too
Thanks guys! We're dropping a time lapse video of the build Tomorrow Jan 1 2020. I'll post it here too! Can't wait to put some miles on it this spring/summer. Still buttoning up odds and ends.
Can not wait to see the video. Thanks in advance Matt, and Happy New Year to you and your family. Mike.
