Hey guys, anybody happen to know who owns this 55 chevy. It was parked spectator side at this years HAMB drags. Not trying to creep on the guy, it was just one of my favorite cars there. Thanks Gary

Its got a plate. In some states the DMV will contact the owner on your behalf and provide them with our contact info. The owner may or may not contact you back. Back in the day you could get a friend who was a cop to run the plate for you but not anymore unless the cop who runs it for wants to get fired.

I would be super pissed if somebody went through the effort to run one of my tags and find out where I live. Privacy is golden

That's why the DMV won't give out your info if they will even contact an owner. Only will advise you. Never know it may be someone with crazy money who wants to buy your car. But understand about concerns for privacy. That's why cops or other officials can't/won't run a plate unless its for an official inquiry and finding out who owns a car isn't one.

Original paint car. Just pulled the original 265 and cast iron power glide out last winter and installed 350/700R combo. Rebuilt suspension and disc brakes. He’s had it for a few years and has no plan of selling it.

Roof repairs can be a real bear and most at eye level. I think I would add a little protective paint over a property prep metal surface. A lot of "Ps" there.
