  3. LOL- just posted on one of the Bonneville threads asking who owns this modified!

Wondering about your wire wheels- what they are (who makes them), how the ride is, and if/how well they are holding up in turns/normal driving situations

They are Harley Davidson wheels that we machine for inner Ford wheel bearings. Like most things Harley makes their way heavier than they need to be. The first time I drove the car was at Bonneville on Friday. So far so good:D

Some of these may be duplicates of others already posted. Any way here are some I have collected over time.

  13. Looks good! What size wheels and tires are you running? I'm working on a straight six modified too except mine has a 225 slant six.

  14. This is my current project with a 225 Slant Six. Still need to adjust some things on the rear suspension and a bunch of interior stuff. Will be doing some head work and adding a 2bbl super six intake this winter maybe a cam too. Probably will add a small roll bar later.

This has been one of my favorite threads for years as I have been building mine, off and on for years, so to give this thread a bump here are a few photos of my project as I was relocating this year. 20190410_113811.jpg 20190410_113840.jpg 20190410_113842.jpg 20190410_114052.jpg 20190410_114129.jpg 20191112_124421.jpg 20200107_122706.jpg 20200113_150002.jpg

118” is exceptionally long for a modified.

I thought it looked sort of long with the long hood and the front wheels all the way ahead of the radiator. Cool though.

That is one nifty little modified there El Soldador,

I saw that blue one that's for sale at Trog at Pismo beach A boner, It's one interesting hot rod that gets driven. I wouldn't be afraid to jump in it and take off on a cross country trip.
