At the Gear Jam drags today

 

Had to travel about fifty miles today, got my business taken care of early, thought I would take the back roads home and came across these. I had to stop and turn around when I though I saw a set of mag wheels on a pontoon boat? Sure enough!

My son sent me this picture from Love's truckstop this morning. When I told him they were probably heading to Pigeon Forge and there would probably be a lot more stopping today he didn't want to go to school.

 

T Went out to the old Qantas hanger in Darwin, Northern Territory, Aust. Home of the motor enthusiast club and full of old cars, machinery and tools.

Not today, but this past moist, gloomy Saturday.

 

I saw this Falcon Rancho and a pair of late 40's Harley Davidson servi cars at the same Stewart's Shop on my way to the Fonda 200 at the Fonda Speedway.


I also saw the 1959 Trenton qualifier trophy at the Fonda Speedway museum.

 

I don't know what this is but it is a rough old car. Sitting in a large puddle probably doesn't help.

 

40 Plymouth coupe. Sweet car! I have a sedan version of the same car.

 

Got a glimpse of THIS going down the road yesterday....sorry about the crappy shot, but it was way ahead of me.
