Technical Question

Got this radius rod from speedway and Iam not sure what the threaded hole is used for.

Spring perch mount for spring behind axle set up. If you didn't need that you paid a $100.00 extra for nothing.

 

Last I spoke with Speedway about those, they all have that threaded bung for the spring behind perch mounts now. The ones that are $100 more are drilled the whole way down (lightening holes).

 

Ok thanks I will fill it. Bought this kit 4 years ago. Finally got all my parts now to build my Model A.

It has been my experience with Speedway that their customer service is excellent, or at least used to be. So if you have any questions about one of their products, don't hesitate to ask them directly.

 

I'd save filling them until towards the end of your build. You might decide you can use them to mount something else like lever shocks or a torsion bar.

 

Yep, they became a safety net for me when I decided to slam my '32 five window highboy....
