Boy, ol' Lee Roy is just about the most politically incorrect guy out there with that confederate flag painted on his helmet. :D Love it.

  13. This is a barn find everyone knew about, about three years ago Wink Hinkley of Grand Gorge New York was inducted in the Central New York Stock Car Hall of Fame.

We all knew he still had his first car which was 56 Ford a former Bill Roese car. It was then a 21 Jerry Wisnowski(sp?) is the car after being raced by Bill Roese (28) but before Wink Hinkley.

The Sunday before the Hall of fame a small group who had been involved in the car helped to dig it out.

Over the last three years my cousin Edward Docskalik got the car running again.

The car was re bodied at some point but is still a 56 Ford chassis.

Last night was the first time on the track at Fonda in 40 years!

The first race red primer with shoe polish numbers.

Ran there a couple of times late sixties.....Saugus was a great track, flat, 1/3 mile, fast. Did not get any better than Saugus for drivers or fans. Even 35 laps was eternity, we all had armstrong power steering!
