Yeah mine all have names. I've had them so long they're like part of the family. The 34 delivery is called ( eggs and things ) The 31sedan is the (A Bomb) the 29 coupe is called the ( LO U.F.O. ) and our 56 Nomad, is just called tha (NOMAD). The kids and grandkids all know, and call them by their names. The name isn't on the delivery any more, but we still call it Eggs. lol Sent from my SM-G920P using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
mmmmm it was at one time, but when I got it, it did not look like the NS, so now it has a new identity and Jerry Berg who built and owned the NS agrees. I need no others permission to rename and rebuild the NS into the Black Widow than his.
Call it what you want, but that car is the Northern Star. Part of owning a car that has significant history is accepting the fact that it has history. No matter what you do to it, or call it, it will be the Northern star. It's not my fault, your fault or anyone else's fault. It's just history.
I have never named one of my cars...but the main one I drive now has one that it came with...Ruth. That was the name of the original owner and somehow ended up the name of the car from her nephew after she passed. Seems fitting to me so that is what I call her too.
I have tons of names for mine when they don’t work . Mostly it sounds like someone’s Mother . Starts with an F and ends with a K ? Fire Truck, you dirty minded people !
I occasionally refer to the Dodge as "the 'Ol Brown Turd".......however when I went to look at the car in September 1971, the guy who was selling it when I asked him where it was said" Oh yeh man, you mean Sebastian, man"....me..."Sebastian?"....Yeh Man, Sebastian man, The car man, he's around the corner , man".............me...err?, o/k?......so we, Dad & I went around the corner, said hello to Sebastian and I decided to buy him, err, it..........lol..........I've never referred to the car as Sebastian although I have told people that's what it was called..........for me, the 'ol Brown Turd or the Dodge" works just as well............lol............andyd

I have never been one to name my cars. But, after buying the 33, I have referred to it as "Bob" a few times, out of acknowledgement to it's builder/owner. I don't think it was really a decision, it just happened, because it was an easy way to have my friends and wife know which car I was referring to. But, when one of my good friends said, "I love how you refer to the car as Bob", well, I guess it has a name.
I guess mine have names due to what the kids and grandkids call them. I've never actually ever named any of my cars. But, 1950 F1 is called "The Ole Truck", my 29 Model A is referred to as "The Hot Rod", the light blue 32 five window is "Ole Blue" and my avatar is just called "The 32".
never been big on naming any of my rides ( say for one I owned that already was well known as" Ole Sapphire" 35 Ford 5 window ) Then I would never paint the cars name on the side of my rig either like some dudes will do. ( nothing against it just not my cup of tea )
I have a name for all of them. Blaze, Pearl, Old Blue, Little Red, The Big Blue Whale, and, the latest, Rosie. My dog's name is Boy, and my cat's name is Kitty.
