    It was the winner before it got three, meaning from what we saw here, it would have been a winner weather or not it won at Pebble Beach

    As picky as the judging gets, sometimes it comes down to if there is original air in the tires

    Cool and a well deserved award I'd think. One more thing is that is THEE car that got so many of us who are in our 70's into hot rodding in the first place. It was the hot rod we waited every week to watch for on TV and then we bought magazines with it in it or on the cover. Who knows how many guys drug a T body home in their teens to attempt to build their own version.
    Thanks for sharing the photos.

    What a great day it was, the cars all were gleaming bright, we were honored to be chosen to receive the top prize, Thank you for noticing all the details that were painstakingly done. :)

    Myer, Bruce; Meyers, Ross. Similarity in names, also in interests & execution. Bravo!

    Bruce has the iconic black '32 roadster, thought to be the actual Doane Spencer car.
    Was this Pebble Beach winner the 'clone'? (I don't think it was Doane's, but ???)
    @hemi 32, some 'light', please.

    Yes it is

  13. The car that Bruce Meyer had at the show was the Bob Morris Don Thelen built "Double Nickel" roadster (Spencer inspired) that was on the cover of R&C in April 1993.

    To me it’s a total toss up between any of these cars and I guess if it’s a tie you have to go by historical significance. I wasn’t around for the t bucket craze but Mike Bishop and Vern Tardel wrote a book that changed my perspective completely so I can understand the impact the Kookie T had. Lately my opinion of cars has been swaying towards how much fun they would be to drive. I would love to drive any of these at least once; but I need to drive the Eddy Dye Roadster everyday.
