That nomad thing doesn't belong on the HAMB. Not a traditional period custom.

It was posted last night and thankfully deleted, but then same guy puts it back up, essentially a poke in the eye to the moderator and the HAMB in general.

It is a thread about Kustoms. Seems like too many forget that and just post pics of a car show they went to, or some photos they searched for on the internet. Like the pearl orange 54 Merc .... nice car, but leans heavily street/machine or something. Surely not a traditional period correct custom.

I was born in the 60's so cannot say from experience, but just by simply comparing the Custom examples that @Ryan took the time to post for our viewing pleasure in his guidelines for posting, I really don't see anything that reminds me of the nomad "thing", or the 54 Merc with the big aluminum directional wheels.

Many here are familiar with Andy Southard through his photography, and this book in particular:

This is the Chevy that took Andy from New York to California and fame (if not fortune).
Built in N.Y. by Herb Gary, it was one of the more tasteful East Coast Kustoms of the era.
    Andy himself did the striping.

Royal Masters? John Kingston's Ford PU sported them in 1959.
It resurfaced decades later with the same tires (garage kept wrapped in paper)!
