  18. nice, another old NW custom has survived! I'll have to dig through my old Portland Roadster Show programs now and see if it showed with Taboo any years. I would guess 59 and 60 for sure.

  27. This is an old custom too. The Jim Gimenez T bird. It won it all in the Bay Area in the early 60's. Took sweepstakes at Oakland a couple of times. It's back in the Gimenez family, or at least it was, it was for sale, but I don't know if it sold. It was green at one time, then Chicano Purple, then faded away. It was found sitting in a field in Fremont CA. in the 70's. I think it was stolen at least once. Then restored to the way it is now about 20 years ago by Randy's Rods up in Grants Pass Oregon area. It's in Pat Ganahl's book lost customs or something like that. I had a picture of myself standing next to it in the 70's in it's as found condition. I hope I still have it, my Dad took a bunch of my pictures from me and I never got them back. Also my Dad had all of the trophies it won, books, and some literature on the car. When the Gimenez family got the car back they tried to buy all the trophies it won, the books, and literature on the car that my Dad had, and he wouldn't let them have them. All that stuff disappeared when he died. Here's a picture of the back of it on the Car Craft cover February 1962.
