Event Coverage GoodGuys Show York PA. August

This is all of mine. I gave up because there were too many vettes and muscle cars in the way.









It's hard taking photos in Novaland.

 

it was a good show ,we drove 6 hours . no real vaca this year so did this instead.not a ton of Hamb cars. but a lot of real nice stuff .swap tiny. would of liked more real car part venders .motel car shows were good both nights

 

I heard that rental costs for York was $ 35,000 for the weekend. Rhinebeck rental was $ 40,000. This does not take into account, insurance, EMT's, security, salaries, transportation costs, etc. Be thankful that NSRA, and Good Guys are putting these events on. Yes, they are in business to make money, but isn't everyone that is in business hopes to make money. Otherwise why bother. Remember, all business's spend money before you buy their product, and then they hope to make a profit. Ask anyone that you know who is business, what does it cost them to open the door every day. How much money would Good Guys have made, or lost if it rained for the duration of the event.

 

I'm glad I'm not a cheap bastard... because I paid my entry and my membership and had a hell of a good time. My 32 even won "hottest hotrod" and I stayed til sunday to receive my award. which was a very nice wooden plaque. Over 2000 cars registered the first year, and they stated they will definitely be back in 2020. Maybe ya'll can start saving up your money now so you can go too instead of complaining.

 

Congrats joey. I've seen your car many times and it's a well deserved accolade.

 

Thanks... was pretty ecstatic my 49,000 mile summertime daily driver was selected over so many fresh build trailer queen cars... They actually told me my well worn tires and bugs in the radiator gave me the win. Had a fun weekend with friends and will definitely be back next year. Already booked my hotel!

 

I went on Friday and thought it was certainly worth attending. Glad to hear they will be back in 2020.
