Customs Saw this on the streets of San Diego last week....

Last week, I saw this cool 1957 Chevrolet pickup on a side street in San Diego.

 

I drive by that every friday on the way to the taco shop and the taco shop is right next door the the building that housed the Chrome Barn speed shop for decades.

 

Love it!

 

It is parked right up the street from a friend's home where I stayed for two weeks. Another shot....

 

Trucks didn't have the same hood as the cars?

 

Nope.

 

Didn't have the same trunks either.

 

Ugh

 

I kinda like this truck, to me it shows the younger generation is showing interest in our time honored hobby. If not its gonna die with us.

 

Check the hood-not a 57 hood-no ridges but I like it

 

The 57 Hood with the ridges wasn't very popular back in the 60's and 70's and nor was the grill. I had a 57 Panel in Texas and planned to change both to 56 pieces.
