  1. Congratulations Jim, pretty dog gone good doing all the driving and the navigating, I realize your alliance with the Yogo team helped, it's cool you & them came in first & second.

Now grab a few quarts of oil and point the Hudson toward home. :D HRP

  2. Well done, Jim, was great to follow along. Have a great trip back home. JW

Jim saying "I'm going to hit the road now...", that's just plain funny. Congrats on the win!

You just tripled the price of 4 door Hudsons. Congratulations. What a great story and really, a great car.

Never thought in my lifetime that I would think that the four door looks better than the two door. That is a neat car though.

All right I have been thru this thread a couple of times and the one thing that bugs me is why did you by the 4:11 pumpkin. In the past when the race was over you either sold (gave) it to your brother or sold it outright (Edsel). You never kept one.

Seems like you have plans to do something with this one besides the race you just completed.

    Care to expound???

Thoroughly enjoyed following along with you on your adventure. Congratulations on the win, but you definitely deserved it! I noticed from the list of competitors that you had the oldest car by many years.

Once again I got sucked in, to following another one of squirrels adventures with cars. And then to have him come in first. It doesn't get much better then that. The last adventure with the two dour looking undertakers was much funnier though. Keep it up, you are entertaining a whole lot of people with your escapades. Especially me. And congrats on the win. 2 or 4 door, I think I like this body style a little better than the coupe.

    Thanks everyone!

I'm planning to stop in Vegas again, too visit my friend who's house I stayed in on the way out. He wasn't home last weekend, but he is now.

I'm starting to hear noises again, maybe I just need to crank up the tunes louder.

    I'm in Tehachapi for dinner.

Jim, you make me proud to have met you. And proud that the Hudso marque came through on top one more time.

I agree. For a long time I wanted a Coupe. About two years ago I bought one. Then I started noticing the long window/roof two door (the model name escapes me at the moment....give me 10 minutes and I'll have it) and decided I like it better. Seems to be fewer of them around though.

EDIT: it took a lot more than “10 minutes”, but I remembered ........ in Hudson speak, the long roof two door is called a ‘Brougham‘ ;)

  26. All downhill from there, almost. Check out the railroad loop , coming down the hill. One more pass on I 15 before the state line..Shouldn't be too bad.

Looking at these two cars it looks like the doors on the two door sedan (?) in the top photo are shorter than on the coupe in the bottom photo.
Did the two door sedan (?) use the front doors from the 4 door? Or is the car above a conversion from 4 to 2 doors?

Coupes and two door sedans share the same longer doors.
