I recieved the electric fan that I ordered, it came with mounting zip ties with directions to mount directly to radiator. My question is, would you mount it that way to a aluminum radiator?
Anybody do this and how reliable is it?

Don't do it. Vibration will eventually cause the "zip ties" to wear through your radiator cores. Seen it happen with a trans cooler. Make or buy some brackets to mount it.

I've done it many times depending on smaller fans. Bought stronger ones though. When installing large powerful fans I use machine screws and large body washers on rubber pads.
