Should the fan be mounted lower then it is now?
How would the fan be mounted to give the most air flow?
    Thanks

I drove a model A coupe as my daily, had a modified stock radiator......I ended up buying a walker radiator and running a 16 lb cap and 185 degree cap(stock setup for sbc) solved everything....

Hey everyone i have a question?

I was doing research on cooling systems.
It seems that a shroud is needed especially with smaller radiators.

    Is this correct?

Does anyone know where i can get the correct shroud for my radiator?

Is it better if the shroud is aluminum or plastic? ( I think i have seen both)

Does anyone know the model # or an exact name of the shroud that i need?

    Thanks again

Your current fan is almost as big as the radiator, and covers most of the core already. I doubt a fan shroud will really help much. I think your no-pressure problem, and small size radiator are the issues causing your overheating.

Have you been driving the thing around and experiencing the same boiling over?

Feel compelled to comment. Search on line for basic auto cooling system & recovery tanks. First thing I would do is test electric fan to be sure sucking air through the rad & not reversed to blow. Next check the thermostat by removing, put in pot of water with candy thermometer & see temp when opens. U probably should have 180-190 replace if needed. Get manifold mounting full neck with pressure cap. As many mentioned above your rad might/probably will not survive much pressure. Ready to fill the system, raise front of rod (jack or ramp something), open both rad caps, fill until top of manifold cap, cap it & fill until motor meter opening. Have overflow can hooked up to manifold cap. Try it. Let us know results.

I set up the system. I wanted to know if i should also fill the over flow tank?

I test the T out and it got from 223 - 230. I only filled the over flow tank half way.
Should i fill the over flow tank up?
Should I also fill up the radiator to the top to the motometer?
    Thanks

  8. Once again, you have to small a radiator for the engine! Everything you are doing is a BANDAID.

I have not seen a " bigger radiator" to actually fit this setup.

Do you have the model or the link of the radiator i need for my setup??!!

  10. No. One would have to improvise.
