I applaud your creativity however I’m not sure if the design of them is appealing to my eye.

Maybe once they’re finished and all 3 are fitted.

I agree with Blue One on the creativity aspect. I probably shouldn't say this, but it reminds me of the Black Knights helmet in Monty Python's Holy Gail. Sorry...

It’s funny you stare at the design once you start and think I should do this or I should do that. I was going to bead roll a seam about halfway up beneath the holes but my son was saying to leave it. Then I was thinking I could add a raised bar instead of a bead. I tend to agree with you it needs a little something more and it’s also hard when you’re only looking at one and it’s bare steel. The plan will be to paint them black. Still a prototype so lots of room left for creative expression

    I’m prepared for winter
I’ve got a nice warm shop and the interior to do on the RPU.
Then when spring comes and they clean the streets :) watch out :D

Ha ha it is kinda morbid from a hot rodders perspective eh?! 30 degrees here today so we still got some summer left!

  17. Yes, it is. But, I was also recently looking at the gas unit heater in my home garage, and thinking what a nice addition that was a few years ago. So, I guess we're all on the same page.

Well, as much as we whine about it winters a fact of life for a lot of us.

I love where I live in general, winter or not.

Life is good, life with a nice hot rod is even better ;)

A little; well not so little print of the coupe. Spent the afternoon making the frame. Pulled some pics of the kid down so we could put this bad boy front and centre over the mantle!

Thought this pic i took was pretty cool. Happened by accident, I had to go on the roof of the house to pull off some trim that came loose and I had the coupe parked outside which is rare. Had the phone in my pocket and looked over and thought damn that's a cool look. Voila, neat pic.

Yes with the scoops I could not run the little black filters as they choked the motor out. Was paranoid all last year running it with no filters at all. got the air cleaner I fabbed up finished. A nod to the oil bath look with my own twist. Hides three new style round air filters inside. It draws air from the sides of course and underneath so good air flow. Fills the engine area more too which I kinda like. Started with a flat sheet of 18 gauge and this is the end result. Lots of work but pretty happy with it.

I find it hard to believe the paper filters don't restrict more than those 1/4" black/red foam shit things but that is exactly what their doing. I remember you working on an alternative but I thought it was 3x individual but I guess you were just beginning...share a link to your building that Fitness.
