We're planning to go to Greaserama for the first time this year... Going to tow my car down since it'd take me a week and I probably wouldn't make it if I drove, she likes the shorter trips.

We're looking to camp or stay where there will be other show goers.... Anybody who's been there done that have a recommendation of where to stay or where not to stay?

I have a couple buddies that go every year, have for like 6 years.

They say it's a blast, if you can't find something that knocks your socks off then you ain't looking. Said there is something for everyone.

I keep wanting to go but for the last 3 years something always comes up.

That should link to the first page of travis’s Coverage of the show a few years ago.

Saturday early is probably the best time to go, lots of traditional cars if you walk the massive grounds to find them. Lots of vendors, generally a decent swap meet area, bands play all day both days. Good pre party Friday night in the city.

Bring water, sunblock, cash and ice. There is one indoor building with a dozen or so cars and beer/vendors , in door bathrooms but its generally pretty crowded so I don’t try to use it as a realistic escape from the heat.

I generally describe it as a big party that every one drove old cars too.

We got a spot at the basswood. Almost ready to load up and head out... Just waiting on the calendar to catch up.

    Is anyone else camping there?
