I believe it is George. The car went through many changes over the years

Not sure why you are bringing this up as the ID was all resolved a couple of months ago, immediately after LB's post.

Super Willys was sold to a guy and wound up on the street. It was at the NSRA nationals in Timonium MD in the mid 70's. Guys name was Lance something. I bought the cut/trimmed steel 33 Willys fenders from Montgomery/Cates car from him. I still have them.

35willys I'd like to know the story on this one, looks low budget but has Halibrand spindle mounts. Probably no front brakes. Steel wheels on back. Do you think that's a Chrysler wedge motor?

The valve cover says "426" so if true yes, Chrysler wedge.

The "Islanders" 33 Willys was Eddie Sanzo's twin of Jack Merkels AA/G car. They were both built at the same time by Frank Cali (pretty sure). At some time Ed partnered with Paul Sullivan, all these guys where friends. Eddie ran the car as a BB/G with a SBC. It was then sold and became the "Islanders" car. Then was sold and is the bracket car seen here. Owned by the same family since the Islander owners sold it many years ago.
