Hot Rods Old Bessy build

Finally put the body on for the final time. Was a perfect day at 72 degree and sunny. What a wonderfull day with my brother.

 

Cool Stuff Hotrodder...its really coming together Just like the weather...

 

@chop job, it looks like a small forest of Clecos has started growing on your roof! Looks good sitting where it belongs on that frame.

 

Cool car, Cool garage space, The old Rail Road sign catches my eye, I like it!

 

Having fun again today setting up grill and headers. Still a long way to go.

 

Setting up header to make both the same good thing I saved the piece we cut off the first elbow. Gas tank went right in with no trouble HA HA never going to happen right? Painted the steering coulum.

 

Been busy with spring cleaning but still had time to add some parts to hot rod.

 

34 headlights on homemade bar.

Why yes they are indeed.

 

Have both header cones now in place will tack up and then welded. Just PAINTED new drive shaft .

More work done. headers done. gas filler.

 

Have to put gas in this baby so I decided to go in from the top. my brother helped with tis design now have to punch holew and install.

 

Trial fit today. Good shape.

 

Lots of button head bolts on floor but better than all that welding.

 

Aviation inspired and looking good @chop job...that said it could even be just working within your means...as in Alternative fastening systems...I'm sure many many garage builds shared this inspired securing method...

The finish line is approaching and a new milestone in the adventure will begin...

 

Spent all morning long sanding and wire brushing these and next will clear coat with high temp clear.

 

Still following. Glad your still getting things done. Going to look great!

Nice job on the exhaust. Have you used the high temp clear for this purpose before? I’m curious how well it holds up as I’ve had the same thought.

 

I have not but I'm hoping for a good result. Will keep you posted.

 

Today no did more work on the hot rod I know I'm slow but I'm having to much FUN with this build. Painted the radiator and added the shifter.

 

Today PAINTED first coat primer on shell.

 

Just about done. Grill that is.

Lots of rain lately here in Wisconsin so all inside the shop work.

 

Made some changes on the fuel log mount.

 

Just got around to adding fuel lines and pressure gauge.
