  1. Here's how it sits as of this posting...

    IMG_3702.JPG

Decent body but the subfloor had been hacked up, so new one went in with Steadfast rear rails for the '32 frame...

    IMG_2496.JPG

    IMG_2497.JPG

Made a threaded bung for steering box so the bolt wasn't poking through the frame...

Original Model A axle that's been dropped, standard vega cross steer stuff...

    Dash holes modified for gauges...

Underdash panel for extra gauges, switches, 12V outlets...

It's tapered so it's the same thickness as the dash...

  4. Wheel well repair time...

    IMG_3648.JPG

    IMG_3668.JPG

Wanted it to match the c-notch in the frame so went ahead and made them...

    IMG_3698.JPG

Aftermarket tail pan was a real POS so cut the ends off and redid them so it'd actually fit. New trunk lid fit and hinged as well...

    IMG_3674.JPG

Had to make the rear floorpan due to the Steadfast subrail kit...

    fullsizeoutput_779.jpeg

Welded flange nuts in some square tube for the fuel tank mount as getting to the backside will be about impossible once it's done...

    IMG_4046.JPG

    IMG_4047.JPG

Then made a panel to separate the trunk area...

    IMG_4049.JPG

Angle bent on the top. Over 48" wide so I had to make it in 2 pieces...

    IMG_4052.JPG

    It's in the hole!...

    IMG_4057.JPG

    Fuel tank mounted up...

Very nice work. Only one Question , how come you did not use the original dash knob holes?

Lookin good Dan, a classic Model A hot rod is hard to capture, you're doing a great job!

  23. You are am amazing metal artist Dan....

  24. Didn’t want just gauges in the lower panel. Tried to avoid the “add on” gauge panel look. Like a clean/smooth dash as well.

Well I’m not gonna post the pics where I messed up :D

Thanks Gary! Soda free haha. Powered by water these days believe it or not.

    Ok. Coming up!

    Yup, 36 Ford.

Thanks John! Means a lot coming from a true pro.

This is obviously not your first rodeo, lots of great ideas to share here. Good skills.

We have fitted a 36 dash to our 28 tudor but extended it out slightly to have a small glove box and speedo cable clearance. But we goofed and now window winders wont clear the dash. Not too sure what the plan is there yet.

  26. Starting to finish up some of the chop welding. It’s gonna finish off pretty good.

Chopped the windshield frame down. Gonna have to move the pivot points due to the upward curved ends in dash. Cost of looking cool :D
