...29 Proud really nicely detailed Hotrod...
It may be an illusion but Tube Shocks on Fendered As sit canted the same as their Fenderless counterparts?...I ask because these look reversed...Are shocks okay canted one way or the other?...I wouldn't think so...

Despite my query I still would own this in a heartbeat...;)

I think you posted this elsewhere recently...Yeah that is the final stage of build for this Wild Coupe...Very much like many racers of that Era finished to a Show Worthy status but still ready to Vie for the Records. I really like seeing these Hotrods in all stages of their evolution...

I wonder if Gene Winfields Racer was in the same class?...At the very least they sure must have been aware of one another.

Thanks @Speed Gems for sharing that and the link...

...it won't win any awards...but this was someones idea of Hotrod back in the day and was probably more the norm than the more finessed examples we tend to revere...Still I'm glad we have been given the opportunity to witness this due to a Hamber posting the auction...it helps understand the big picture. Heck maybe a Hamber Snapped it up...

The Late Hamber Xderelict was with the Omaha Turds Club I think and he did another really Wild Shiny Black Streamlined Hotrod...he was an out there thinker in a good way. The Chevy Coupe was a build here and he posted it here wayback...

Here's one of his other Wild Creations...

This is a picture of what I think is the Ruth car taken at a traditional car meet in my back yard in Massachusetts in1997. As I remember, it was owned by a relative of Albert Ruth. The car had Connecticut plates on it and the owner had done quite a lot of work on it to get it running again. Although we invited him to come to meets we had in following years, I don't think he ever came to another one and I haven't seen the car since. I thought it was very nicely done.

I just finished, my 3rd time building this Coupe from the ground up in 30 years, took me 2-1/2 years because I'm nearly 63 yet looking at fun once again.

You know, there's that purpose built statement that gets tossed around a lot here and in many cases that may have some teeth...but when I see stuff like this I think Pablo Picasso resides in many of the Builders...they're both really great looking Hotrods but that 3 Window is a Stunning Piece of Speed & Artistic excellence...just the lightening holes in the frame alone are a study in layout...

A great little historic slide show by Hamber Zach that really paints an interesting mosaic of very early days in Hotrod...
