My wife and I went for a ride after the cruise and stopped and got a burger and watched traffic go by E98487BB-B9F7-4A38-A844-A96866A774C8.jpeg 78486751-8FB7-4EAE-A2B1-CD2E41ECDC4A.jpeg

  2. Both of the Vettes below are probably number matching original paint one owner cars now, but as crazy as they are, I'd like to have one of them now. Can't you just hear the Vette guys pissing and moaning about how screwed up they are? I like both of them.

When it comes down to it, they are screwed up. That doesn't mean I don't want one or the other.

I love doing that kind of stuff. Just a fun and relaxing little cruise in the classic. We did similar yesterday in the wife’s OT Hot Rod and while out she had to go to Meijer and we ran into a small cruise in.

Rare is a well worn word and often misused. Those are real American Racing Equipment Torque Thrust D's which were only available in a limited number of sizes predominantly in aluminum. Magnesium D's are seldom seen and 15x9.5's are far from common. Those are a genuine set of rare wheels.

  27. In my opinion that is exactly what those cars were made to do!

  28. Quick85, Thank you for the pic enhancement. Those old Kodak Instamatic pics just aren't cutting it today.

Can you see at 7 o'clock where the American racing stickers were? The sticker is still there, the print on the label is mostly gone, it is one of the reasons I haven't scuffed them up and updated the finish. Also, note the paint on the spokes, I suspect this is as delivered or a second day finish on those. Looks like black paint to me.
