I was near them and I think I missed that row/section. I can’t believe it. Thanks for the picture Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
Great show. I took around a 1000 pics so I won’t bore you with all of them but excellent turnout and the organization was great for an event this size. Nice to go to a show and not get ran over by golf carts. Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
I returned home yesterday (Saturday) and was surprised to learn the final count was reported at 12,7xx registrations. Based on the extreme crowding of vehicles, I expected about 15,xxx. Having attended many/most Nats over the past 25 years, I can’t help but think there is a disparity this year between registration numbers and the actual car count. The only explanation for that I can think of is that ordinarily some number of people register a car to get the ‘credentials’ for grounds access but do not always bring that car to the meet. Whereas, this year being a significant “milestone” event, full participation was a must do occasion.......result, a 1000 or maybe 2000 more registrations, but a noticeable increase in actual cars count. Nothing wrong with that.....just trying to comprehend the difference between usual car crowding with registrations in the 11,000 range versus this event. Another clue to that is, I think, the number of people in the exhibition hall seemed no greater than prior years. Getting around and talking with vendors about their product was as easy, or easier than any other year. Frustrating as traffic jams and parking space shortages may have been, I came away well satisfied with the overall outcome. Found a great deal in the swap meet and other goodies in the indoor vendor offerings. Second most $$$$ spent in all my years there (mid-four figures) but I think good value. See ya next year! Ray
Jerry Slover and his son Jason of Pete & Jakes bought the "kid" several years ago as well as the Jacobs coupe.
I wasn't referring to Jakes coupe. Ever see him cut donuts in it? I was referring to the Slovers owning Ewing's old coupe.
Al , I seen your car after we spoke on Thursday- you were parked close to Me,( maroon ‘47)your coupe was looking good. Glad you made it there safe and sound
Thank you for posting. It was a huge turnout. I walked until I wore out and then went directly to plan B( cold adult beverage in the shade).
