Looking for some 1/4-20 fender or body bolts like this (but doesn't need the dog-point) ; not sure of the correct nomenclature. This particular one is 3/4" long and has a Ø3/4 washer which would be fine.

I've been on a few websites that sell them, and the best price for 1/4-20 x 3/4 was 40¢.
They go on up to 80¢ each.

    Also will be looking for 5/16-18 x 3/4 and 3/8-16 x 1"
    thanks for any help.

I'd wager that most people on the HAMB have at least one coffee can full. I know I do. Problem is finding them.

Boltdepot.com has full thread flange bolts, but they don't have the pilot point. They also carry fender washers in a good variety of sizes.

McMaster-Carr has expensive stainless steel ones.
Didn't see any "common" phosphate steel ones; unless I wasn't looking in the right place.

Those particular bolts can be found holding the grille shell onto 1973-79 Ford pickups. 8 of them to a truck, 6 of which are right on top, and 2 attach the shell to the fenders right behind the bumper.

There are also.some shorter 1/2" long ones holding the door and window parts on, on the same vehicle.

If you search the big auto part store websites they will have them. I use the term body bolt. The free spinning attached washers are sometimes called SEMS washers in the description. I also use the term dog pint in the search. Both Dorman and Auveco seem t be the manufactures of these bolts that the big parts stores carry.

Anyplace that sells auto paint and supplies is going to have all the body bolts, washers, captured nuts and shims you need. At least the ones around here do. And there's always Amazon.

I agree with the guys that reccommend going to a junkyard. Be sure to take a battery powered drill,a set of sockets, a socket drive adapter and a ratchet or wrench for the tough ones. Should be able to get a bunch of them for your home shelf "stock". A ratcheting wrench would be nice too !
