I saw that online. Bake for 2 hours at 200 degrees and shake them up every 10 minutes or so.
I just was not sure how that worked for the beads? Is that 100 percent or the second time around do they have a half life etc. Just unsure. I may purchase a new round of them and attempt to bake the others. The video I saw had them laid out flat on a cookie sheet. For the size of this dryer that would be maybe 10 cookies sheets and 20 hours. Not sure it would be worth the effort...

Randall. I have had my system for 20 years. I was always told that when the desiccant turns white in the sight glass to drain them out then spread them out and let them bake in the sun, I use a 3 foot square metal pan I made up. As the moisture evaporates they turn blue again. I reused mine numerous times before replacing. After awhile they start to get kind of powdery and you know its time for new. But when you see the damage moister and oil can do to a new paint job, a couple hundred bucks for desiccant is nothing. Larry

Well I got my bill today for the driveshaft. $18.60 per inch! LMAO!
I was running down the invoice and found there was a $50 charge for balancing it.
Exactly how much balancing does it take for 10.75" long shaft? LOL!

You could have done that with a screw hose clamp.

Randall I’m sure you got your driveshaft made at the same place in Springfield that I did for my afx car and mine is way longer and cost only $165 with new ujoints installed and it’s 4” diameter sounds like you got “shafted” lmao

Not saying the shop charge is good or bad, but when balancing something, it's the same amount of effort and the same machine whether it's 10" or 6 '... IF they built it right and it's not way off.

Got home tonight with all the new correct sized brake lines and fittings. However not a single copper washer in the shop that fit. But instead of just giving up and watching Forged In Fire I decided to do something completley useless!

I took the little embossed MSD topper, carefully ground off the MSD logos and polished it back to the original semi-gloss.

Nice touch, now take some thinner and get rid of the lettering on the wires and look for some black boots. ;)

It was Mint green with a black and pink tweed interior and the motor was mint green with ball milled aluminum al over it with hot pink wires :eek:! Missed that, sorry. Had the beer goggles on last night (didn't have Norb to help), these long days of working on little BMC cars, works up a mighty thirst. :D
