This Sunday was our 40th Annual Buckeye Rod Builders Poormans Nationals in Plain City, Ohio. We had 290+ cars and great weather. Thought I would post some pictures here for you guys and maybe next year we will see more of you out there! This year was a free show with no registration and no trophies. Between the two 50-50 drawings and cash prizes we gave away over $600 and we had tons of great door prizes from places like Fatman fabrication, Jegs, and many more.

Thanks, Love the name! The shows with shade trees are great, especially for us older folks.

Thanks guys, we wanted to use the 40th Anniversary as an opportunity to give back to the hot rodders that have been supporting us for 40 years. At the end of the show rather than give out 30 trophies we used our door prize tickets that we handed out at the gate and we gave away four $50 cash prizes, and six $10 prizes to the winners of our games. Couple that with our 12 o'clock 50-50 drawing which was nearly $300 and our 3 o'clock drawing which was almost $200 and I think we gave you guys a proper thank you! We have some really good sponsors for this show and are strongly considering keeping the show this way from now on. As many clubs are experiencing, participation is way down for us and its hard to staff a show. but if you eliminate registration and trophies thats about 6 less jobs to do which lessened the work load considerably and made the show more fun for everybody. We hope to see more of you next year on your way to Louisville!

Also as some of you have noticed our venue Pastime Park in Plain City, Ohio is perfect for this event. Almost the entire show is in the shade and there is onsite camping for those interested.

This is still one of the best shows in the Midwest!
If you haven't been you, you should put it on your bucket list of shows to attend.
There are plenty of places to stay in the area, and there is camping at the show site.
The Buckeye Rod Builders are some of the hobby's finest ambassadors!
They just know how to do it right!
