    Hello Everyone!

Aside from Finding A Decent Original, Does Anyone Have Any Advice On a Good Quality Aftermarket Cowl Band For A 30-31 Model A Coupe.

    Any INput Would Be Appreciated

  5. Check Sacramento Vintage Ford.

Reproductions are made by Vintique and sold by most early Ford parts houses.

The bands weigh nothing. And they are easy to twist when they are off the car. So shipping requires a large flat box and a lot of volume (expense).

I have one that I bought from a vendor at a car show. He told me that he did not like to ship them because of the potential for damage in shipment.

Just reinstalled a factory original on a '31 Tudor on Friday, I'd look for an original, you know they'll fit.

I got one from Mac's auto and I took the hammer to it and dumped it in the corner. They are JUNK!!! don't buy an aftermarket if you can find a half decent original one

Lot's of people have had problems with the aftermarket ones...they just don't fit...
    Tell me I'm wrong...if you've found a good one...

I bought an aftermarket one at a swap meet last summer and it fit fine.. Not sure of the vendor, I think he's from TN...

  14. I think mine was from Macks. However since my A is channeled I had to trim the end and make new clamps so all I can say is the stainless is really nice and the shape fits the cowl well.

It did come in a huge box, but no shipping damage.
