I am needing to replace my head gaskets on a 425, I had bought some felpros but was told not to use them so I picked up a better set. I won't have time to do this for a couple of weeks but I am wondering which hole in the head gasket allows oil up to the rocker assemblies. Can anyone tell me? thanks
The oil comes to the front rocker stand stick a wire through it and see where it comes out the deck surface.
X2 as I got my engine as a rebuilt and don't know what was used in the build but have a full set of Felpro gaskets standing by if I need them. Being in Oz they are not the sort of thing which you can get on short notice.
Apparently the oil goes from the block to the head through the head gasket and the felpro let the oil seep sideways through the composite and leaks out at the top side by the valley pan. Its a nailhead thing and it needs stell head gaskets or the head gaskets with the tin lined holes.
Thanks for the explanation @desotot just have to hope that it wasn't Felpro gaskets used in the rebuild of my engine.
