Just finishing up a 5w, full fendered, bumpers. I've concluded that short style work best on the back since there's no spare.
I'd appreciate Hamber's opinions on whether the long or short style look best on the front. Thx , I always appreciate the valuable input I get on the Hamb.

  2. The ones you like look the best.

Didn’t realise that they came in short and long versions.
Was it for the rear only ? ie for luggage rack ?
Although I have some short ones, I thought that they were cut down.
Would like to hear more about this.
    Thanks.

    Short brackets are aftermarket items.

I have always used the shorter delivery brackets on a deuce with no spare, just looks better?

  6. The sedan delivery's had shorter rear bumper brackets but they are reproduced.
If your not running a spare tire on the back I believe the shorter brackets look the best.

As for the front I am unaware there is a shorter one. HRP

It's a Boob question. What's with all the Butt replies?

I never even knew somebody made a shortened front bumper bracket. And I am a huge 32 aficionado. But I can't see how they could improve on the stock brackets. On the rear yes, but the front, no.

  9. I have seen short ones on the front and like them better than the long ones. That being said these were shortened by the owner. I do not know if any are being built for the aftermarket.

thx folks. Short on the back and long on the front it is. Bob Drake lists short for both front and back in stainless and bare steel. Had to check with you guys before I pull expensive trigger. thx

I didn’t use the brackets that came with my bumper and no idea where I came up with the brackets I used

Where can I find polished or chrome brackets for my coupe. Prefer the shorter ones for the rear. Google no help.

At one time C&G Ford Parts, Escondido, CA carried a polished Stainless Steel shortened front bracket, pricey but nice.
