    Bonneville

Received a email a short time ago from SCTA on the conditions at Bonneville. All systems are go, two courses have been drugged, as in leveled, the other two will be prepared next trip up in time for Speed Week. The report was very positive with good salt conditions all around. Only standing water at this time is at "the end of the road" where you enter the salt but it is drying rapidly. The long course has a couple of damp spots which prevented dragging it this trip.

Work crew at El Mirage right now trying to get that course into shape after the bad weather, massive cracks deep enough to swallow a PU tire. BLM oversee's the lake bed and surrounding area and has say so on how things have to be done.

If you can get on SCTA's site you can get a better report

Ran across an interesting number at the Vintage Ford site. Seems that a stock A is 40 HP at the flywheel and 24 HP at the rear wheels. Using those numbers, you can multiply the rear wheel HP by 1.65 and get the flywheel HP. The Zipper was 60 HP @3500 RPM at the rear wheels, thus 99 HP at the flywheel.

  17. Got my FS distributor in today. I honestly didn't expect much of a difference but I'm happy to report it's a big difference. Feels like I've found a little power.

Also had my shop door hand painted by a local pinstriper, Scoot. 20190723_141443.jpeg 20190723_140822~2.jpeg

Number one wire was tight as a fiddle string, number three had more slack than the knob on a shithouse door..listen up people, appearance means horsepower..when those electrons arc up the wire they gain speed, like a fat kid on a rollercoaster..

If those are old school rag tires pressure doesnt matter, they ride like shit no matter what..they look good though, and that's all that counts :)

First of all: Gorgeous car. I was drooling over it on IG this morning and now I see it on here.

Secondly, I went to see what I could find as far as '35 Ford owner's manuals to see if there was a recommended tire pressure there, but couldn't find anything. I did find the 1933 Chevrolet Master owner's manual, however, and it recommends 32 psi, front and rear.
