I love both looks. I wish I would have grew up around that time but I'm a little late to the party lol.

I really want to do this up like a late 60s/early 70s street racer.

Everything looks awesome, just do yourself a favor and shitcan the Centerline's. Spokes or slots will nail the the look you're after. Centerline's ain't that kool around here.

  4. You realize those are not Centerlines right, no problems telling someone how to build their car but don't even know what they're talking about...ha ha ha

I've had my '55 since 1970 so I got a pretty good idea about the wheel selection back then. Super tricks and centerlines weren't available then. Just me but I always thought they were a kinda fugly.

  7. They came out in 1971, personally I like Super tricks better than Centerlines, but have owned both.

  8. Oops!
And I even had SST's on an OT car in the early '80s.

Well the ole girl has had some changes happen to her. Some bigger meats out back, along with a nice 6-71 I got from Matthew Nelson I'm sure he is on here! I rebuilt the gmc blower myself, and am running a temporary carb setup before I switch it to my mechanical enderle bugcatcher hat!

Getting everything dialed in on the bad boy. Next I need to get the the trans put and install the trans brake.

The mechanical fuel injection should be Interesting seeing I'm a young gun and have little experience with them, but i know basics. I have a few good buddys with blown cars on the street and for track use so their advice, and any of your advice helps 20190819_173257.jpeg 20190819_173246.jpeg 20190819_173323.jpeg 20190910_220024.jpeg 20190910_220146.jpeg 20190915_220615.jpeg 20190915_220610.jpeg 20190915_214543.jpeg 20190903_195755.jpeg

Like yours, my '55 shouldn't exist either. It was apparently rescued from a junkyard prior to '83, probably in the '70s Not much left of the original car. Drag raced for a while before returning to the street when I became the proud owner. Good save, I enjoy watching your progress!

very cool car. Does your crank have a double crank keyway for the blower? What static compression ratio are you running?
