THE HISTORY OF MY 5 WINDOW part 110
Around 5 years ago Tony bought his Aussie '34 coupe from Darren. Because he and no room for it, it remained here for around 18 months. Actually my 3W was in Tony's garage because I never had room for it here when I bought it. I had made room by selling my Fleetline to Garry. So that is the space Tony's coupe filled in my garage until we could do the big 'coupe switcheroo'.

THE HISTROY OF MY 5 WINDOW part 112
So as I said in an earlier post, Tony's 5W was here for around 18 months. I eventually took it down to Port fairy using Garry's trailer and brought my 3W home on the return trip. Of course I have taken many shots of my two coupes together. This was before I palmed the 5W onto Brendon.

Here's more random shots. God I love my hoist. I remember all those times I laid under my 5W cleaning it. It had to be done, but it wasn't fun.

Hey Tbb1. To me it's always just been my coupe. I guess it has been many years later that I realise the impact it had at the time when it was in it's prime. This coupe has shaped over half my life significantly, it is a big part of who I am today. Anyhow enough of that, it is what it is and truly love that old hot rod.
Thanks for you input Cactus. It has been one hell off a journey.

The Port Fairy run in 2014 is the last time I took the 5W down to Rita and Tony's. As usual it was a great weekend and I took a few pictures with of course the coupe featuring prominently in many of them.

On the Saturday a whole bunch of us went out to Carol and Frank's. Where we had lunch and a relaxing afternoon.

It was also the first time the two coupes had been together under my ownership.

Here's the last in this series of shots featuring the two coupes together. There's one with my sister Margaret in it. As well as one with me. Along with gussy the hot rod mascot and die hard Essendon supporter.

THE HISTORY OF MY 5 WINDOW part 122
Well, as they say; all good things must come to an end. This at this stage is the last installment of what has turned out to be an epic history of my 5W, mostly done with images. I hope it has been interesting for those of you who have viewed it. I have really enjoyed putting it together and having it take me back on the journey and experiences the 5W and I have shared together.
Here is one last bunch of images to wind this up. I am looking forward to watching Brendon making more history with a hot rod that means so much to me and I know that it means a lot to him also.

I bought Chuck's engine and his last head casting from his estate. His other 2 heads were purchased before I got there. My plan is to restore it and use it for a few antique races here in SoCal
