Other than the wheels and tires, Royal appears the same. I believe the interior was redone since then. It is very trick and spectacular. The powertrain is now Chevrolet and it has power steering and brakes as well as air conditioning

Fender skirts. It might sell quicker if you add wide whites and skirts -n- flippers. It changes the whole look of the car. 2019_07_17_140145.jpg

Here's a rendering I did last year....my idea of what a 61 El Camino may have looked like had it been offered by Chevrolet....I think HAD they offered it, it would have sold well.[IMG]

This photo (with the "port hole" in the hood) reminds me of a story a friend told on himself. He had a late 40s Buick Roadmasher (port holes in the front fender). He also like to go jukin' (bar hopping) and was a beer drinker. Of course he needed to relieve himself fairly often and restroom facilities were not always readily available. Buick port holes to the rescue! The right height and always brought a smile of relief to his face as he, ah, relieved himself. The, one day, as he was taking advantage of the thoughtful Buick design, the fender fell off - rusted all the way through. Just sayin'.
