We just need a "tongue-in-cheek" emoticon for Cob to use just so you guys don't get all twisted up by his rather hilarious post. Geez guys, lighten up. He was only having a bit of fun with Danny. I saw this last night and couldn't believe it. I thought CCC was serious and I was gonna say something on Danny's behalf. But I'm aware but I might sometimes miss inside jokes. And to be honest, I was more than hesitant to go against one of our moderators LOL.

I'm glad to see that you were only kidding, corncobcoupe. But jeez... maybe a "LOL" or a laughy face would have been helpful.

Now that I know I won't be kicked out for saying it... I'll say it.
If it wasn't for Danny, there's a chance that I might not be here today. And when I say "be here", I mean ALIVE.
So if anybody EVER seriously fucks with Danny, I reach right through this keyboard and punch 'em in the face... multiple times.

Yes it was a damned good joke! Not knowing any of these guys personally and seeing some of the stuff HRP has to put up with in the past it did make me think twice though.
Nothing wrong with guys getting a little hot under the collar. They were just speaking up for a friend. What was really funny were the few guys that jumped on the band wagon and started bashing......maybe that was a joke also. Good job corncobcoupe, we all need to lighten up a little.

Funny unrelated post story, I'm just getting back into a '57 Chevy project that was a driver but stalled out like 10 years ago. Thought to myself, I really should put a dual chamber master cylinder on there, and I know there's one that's a real easy swap but I should do a Google search and make sure I'm getting the right part. So I do that, first useful looking result is a HAMB post, so I click on it and it's an 11 year old post from me, telling someone else how I'd used a '68 Chevelle master and it fit real nice. So I go out to the shop and open the hood and sure enough, I already did that swap 11+ years earlier and I just forgot about it.

 

Guys, be thankful that there are guys that post many.... and many that post! My introduction to forums, a Ford related forum, is dying! It looks like nothing can be done for it. That’s why and how I came to this forum. I was immediately impressed with the size and knowledge of this forum. Like most automotive related forums, you need a thick skin and you better be right! Because you will be called on it! I assure you! Ask me how I know. Myself, I love the good natured banter , here, and look forward to see what HRP posts next!

@corncobcoupe I was a regular on another now defunct small forum that had a prolific poster like HRP, but he had an ego and really enjoyed the fact that he was King. On a similar day one of the mods did some magical forum trickery that gave all the rest of us one more post count than whatever his count was, and no matter how much he posted, our counts all went up +1. It was very funny to watch him slowly melt down that day.

Does the post counter roll over to zero at 99,999 like most of our odometers?
