I bought my T-Bucket last July and have been slowly getting everything on it working correctly. It had been sitting in a barn for several years and needed a lot of attention. I had to replace all of the wiring, put in new gauges, new wheel cylinders, master cylinder, and a couple of brake lines. I measured the wheel cylinders and got ones that fit and seemed to work pretty well (until recently). The car has a straight f 20190714_145135.jpg ront axle and drum brakes, but I'm not exactly sure what they came from. The guy I bought the car from didn't know the history of the build. I'm hoping that some of you experts can tell me what I have from the pictures. The car has developed a problem of the left front wheel trying to lock up suddenly. It doesn't do it all the time. The drums are 10" in diameter and the shoes are 2 1/2" wide. I'm taking the drums tomorrow to have them checked. 20190714_145109.jpg 20190714_151635.jpg 20190714_153901.jpg 20190714_154027.jpg

  2. It doesn't appear to be a aftermarket axle, looks like it has holes for a spring perch's. HRP

  3. Getting the #'s off the bearings and races and see what cars used them might help narrow down what it is from.

I was thinking Econoline also, the bolt pattern is 5 on 4 1/2" bolt circle. I searched on the internet for pictures and didn't have much luck. I'm pretty sure that it is a Ford axle. Thanks for the replies. I'll also check for numbers on the wheel bearings. That is how I determined that the rear end is most likely from a '70 Olds Cutlass.

it's also not a straight axle. it's a dropped axle.
