    Hey folks,

Picked up what I thought was a cut down A/B flywheel setup for a V8 clutch.

Was just comparing it to a stock A flywheel and the A pilot bearing just drops thru.[IMG]

Guessing this is a cut down flathead flywheel

Sure looks like one , if you measure the bolt circle and center to center on the dowels I can compare to mine tomorrow....also a photo of the back would help...where about are you located in Jersey? I'm down here in Cumberland county....

    Hey King Ford,

    I’m up in Freehold.

Top pic is the back with the A pilot bearing just sitting in there on the work bench.

Looks like qcenter to Center on the dowels is 3 1/2. I think bolt pattern is same as the banger but ring her would not be in the same location.

Here’s a shot from the rear comparing to a stock A flywheel. Certainly looks similar, wonder it someone had just opened up the pilot bearing whole ?

Looks as though the pilot bearing hole has been opened up for a bigger input shaft bearing.... probably using a different transmission.

It does look like it may have been machines out

    Measures out at 1.846

Fits the crank and if I had the ring gear on it it seems like it’s in the right place.

Time to find a pilot bearing that has a 1.845 OD, any ideas ?
