Hit 4 car events in the past 30 hours. The 1st was a 2nd friday cruise in. Couple hundred cars and live bands. The 2nd was a show this morning. 300 rides and a decent swap. Won $200. The 3rd and 4th were local cruise ins on the way back home. Drove close to 250 miles. Rush hour interstate and city along with fun 2 lanes. Nothing bad happened. Lots of smiles and met some cool new folks. This may be shocking to some that you can enjoy an old ride without cursing or declaring to never drive it again. Sorry for this non-rant.
They are meant to be driven. A friend has an SS Chevelle, that the starter quit working on right after he got it. Oh well, it won't get hurt that way, so he was ok with trailering it to shows, and pushing it around! I fixed it for him a couple weeks ago, hopefully it will get some miles on it this summer.
Last night This morning Antique shopping after show #2 Cruise in on the way home #1 Last stop for a milkshake
Had to work today, 1 st time i have ever missed Point mallard show.Wife sent me a pic of the bus in Hartselle. Made some snide comment about me and short bus.............................
Glad you're able to get out and about! Hope to get mine back on the road before seasons end, that is if I can keep the semi rolling without any more breakdowns. I guess we could get out in the FBird, but it just ain't the same as my car.
