My 24 x 30 shop is only traditional in the sense that I love tools and equipment, and I love building shit.
Nawwww....IF you gonna be a welder........ya gotta be tough (or stupid!) I still have a scar (the size of a quarter) where a hot ball of slag popped off and stuck right on top of the tongue of my LEATHER boot! I bet I set a record taking off a boot. I was standing on a 8" beam inside a submarine ballast tank at the time. Heckuva balancing act!
it's nice to finally have room. There is even an empty spot since the T coupe went away. 64 Caddy, 65 V8vair, 1917roadster pickup ( behind the Corvair and next to the Corvair ) and a radical custom 51 fleetline on the lift. Our storage is on the upstairs landing
That's a nice space! I like garages that look like they were old when the cars were new. The cars come and go and leave little pieces behind, but the garage is still there. Even though I'm in hot south Texas, an old iron wood stove is on my wishlist for my dream space too.
Thanks y'all, you've inspired me to clean up my shop & get on with my next project. Same garage after the last 6 months of work.
I have a dream of one day squeezing my 54 chevy in here, but you can see my 2 (compact) car garage is pretty cramped so...... someday.
