Event Coverage Canada or Bust 2019

Thanks, know you have been following my build as I have been following yours, hope are cars are still the thing to have in three years. And hopefully that is assuming there will be another Deuce Days in 3 years. I enjoy your posts, hope our paths cross someday. I think we think a lot alike, Cheer, John

 

Almost ready to head over the Rockies.

 

I'll be there, this will be the 10th and I've been to all of the previous 9.

Who knows what might happen in 3 years however it would be nice to get to the same event and meet up.
Enjoy your time on the island, my father lives up the road in Bowser at the end of Noonday road, he’s a 1932 model himself and would love to see the Deuces but unfortunately he’s not healthy enough to make a trip to Victoria on his own.

Yeah, don't spread that around! Seriously we don't need anymore people coming to BC and driving up housing costs. Exceptions may be made for HAMB members, even from Alberta, LOL.

 

I plan on being there, but unfortunately without an appropriate car since I'm so slow at working on it. Friends who went to the last one say it is a great event and since this is bucket list material, I'm going.

 

Gold mountain, I'd like to meet you face to face to talk about that rad info you sent me. I'll be arriving early Sunday morning since my '32 is faaarrrrr from ready. I hope all HAMB members I dentify their cars. I would wear smething HAMBish to be identified by but I don't own with the logo. So I'll be wearing a Meteor ball cap or. Juno Beach ball cap. If you guys see me inteoduce yourself. This is a GREAT forum. Thanks Ryan!

Crossed the boarder a few hours ago. A few nights in Pitt Meadows, early ferry to the island Thursday morning. It is going to be a great time. Safe travels

Gone over top to bottom and I think she’s ready to hit the road Thursday morning. Have the 4pm Tswassen ferry booked for any of you gents that are gonna be catching the same one. Here’s hoping for a nice easy cruise down the highway!

About 700 miles into our trip. Taking our time, ferry Friday morning. Everything going great so far.

Just east of Castle Mountain I see. Did you get a park pass? Hopefully I'll see you around your car on Sunday. This thread is getting me excited (don't be rude!) so I'm really going to be there in '21 with my 5W! Now that I've said it I can't take it back. Remember to ID yourself as a HAMB mender on your participation card guys, I'd really like to put some faces to the names!

That is where my sailboat spent the first half of it's life. It still has Ladysmith as it's home port on the stern.

I got too fat for my Hamb shirts in my old age.
I'm going on the 2:50 ferry out of Anacortes on Thursday. I'll be in the disappearing gray sedan with the Vietnam veteran 1968 license frame.

 

Not this time. Bottom line is time and money. I haven't done a car show (any car show) in over three years. So I let the wife pick one for this year. It was a toss up between This one and Goodguys NorthWest. Both great shows albeit very very different.
So I'm heading to Puyallup for a week. A lot of r&r and the show of course.

 

You can't do them all that's for sure. Not an inexpensive weekend driving from the interior, ferries, airbnb, food etc. All adds up. Good thing my kids don't know i'm using their college fund to cover the trip! ha ha ha

 

Fitness guy. Offer still stands, you're more than welcome to make a pit stop on the way to the ferry. I'm only a couple minutes off Highway 1.

 

Hey' Fuzzy was good to see you again this year. Missed you leaving lunch and never had a chance to say goodbye.
