A neighbor of mine gave me this door and the plan was to letter it in a distressed style for wall art. He said there was an old Dodge grill shell in the field where found it but I’m not too sure. Any help would be appreciated IMG_0506.JPG IMG_0507.JPG IMG_0509.JPG IMG_0512.JPG IMG_0509.JPG

There was a lot of wood in that thing long ago. I would guess Chevy but that's just a guess.

I can tell you it's not Ford. So that usually means it's a "Dodge".

    The drivers side…..

Unless it was from a suicide ride, then it would be off from the passengers side.

    Hope that helps!!!! LOL!!!

I'm gonna go out on a limb here and give you what may or may not be the correct answer... I think it's off of a car. Yeah, I know, I'm a smart ass! Sorry, no real help here.

The check strap on top reminds me of GM/Fisher Body mid '20s ...

TBonez didnt mention how wide the door is. Mine is 35 1/2 wide!
His is a drivers door, mine is for the passenger side. The circle in my door suggests a business logo, now sanded off. The top of the door has a sliding guide that might be more common on a backdoor like a sedan delivery but the hinges on mine would be on the wrong side for that.

    Maybe an orphan car

  18. Judging by the bracing and frame, I’d say early Chevrolet. I can tell you it is not 31-33 truck because the beading is different. Probably late 20’s Chevrolet.
