Almost there, Tony. Luckily you have a Great crew chief to keep you motivated!

Made one easy pass last night and looks like all systems go. Jimmy popped his driveshaft so we’re trying to sort that out before race time.

I second my statement about the Crew Chief (see above)! Must be sticky, I see Gabriel's looking for a driveshaft too. Have a Safe race, Carp.

  5. There's nothing like the feeling of getting a car back together after a bad incident. A never give up mind set is a powerful thing that only a few have. Good luck.

Glad it's all working out Tony. I imagine it takes a helluva stout drive shaft to hold those high rpm launches Jimmy and all the rest of yall make. That kind of launch with as much rpm and traction as these cars have will damn sure show you where the "weak link" is, for sure.

  7. That was a good time! Gabe made it to the finals

OK,,, So you have qualifying runs ?,

Having never been involved in drag racing,
Try and overlook my dumb ass road racing questions.

  14. Yessir we can test on Friday night, then Saturday we do 2 qualifying runs and that builds the ladder. It’s tough because you don’t want to blow up your car Friday night but Saturday you need good passes.

What he said! If you live in Buford you are really right down the road from Q&D Tony and at least 3 or 4 other SEGA guys. Definitely check them out

The Hoosier State always impresses as Wagler Motorsports Park has become a favorite stop on the SEGA Championship Tour. A huge part of the SEGA’s success in the Midwest is a direct result of 1 Way Technologies and the two time NHRA Gasser Champion, Sam Jones. Washington, IN is home to the racing head specialist, and we are very proud to have 1 Way on board as event sponsor once again. Come check out the 1 Way booth and witness the latest in racing head technology, while visiting with the champion himself of the legendary “Moody & Jones” race team, Sam Jones.

ALSO!!!... for the first time ever at a Southeast Gassers’ event... We welcome the 7 time NHRA Gas Champion, “Ohio George” Montgomery!! We are very honored to have “Ohio George” as Grand Marshall for the 6th stop on the SEGA Championship Tour.

So mark your calendars for July 27th as we turn back the clocks to 1967 at Wagler Motorsports Park with full championship classes of A/G, B/G, C/G, and SEGA Super Stock. Exhibition classes of SEGA H/Gas and A/FX always add to the excitement and experience of true heads-up, 4-speed, nostalgia drag racing!!!

So instead of pressing out the dowels for offset pins ( which would require pulling the engine) I got these Lakewood inserts. Had to step drill the bell to 1” and opened the other holes just about the thickness of the powder coating. Got it on zero and welded the inserts.
If the dowels had been longer I wouldn’t have had to sink them all the way in.

In which direction as it out Tony?

  20. It was out more left to right that up or down but it shifted fine. I’m just super paranoid about the dowel pins being loose now.

In other news - always wanted to see what polished rims look like. I only have one big window though. So you can’t see both sides at the same time......

  24. I actually have a can of that somewhere - probably need it at the track to keep the mag shiny - only trying this on for one race to see if the look is a good one or not. I'm out of old school zippo lighter fluid and can't find it. Most places don't know what I'm asking for. One old guy told me to use Aqa Velva - also difficult to find.

Thanks Hombre! We appreciate the support!
