The "Precious Vette" has been a fixture at drag strips in the L.A. area for over fifty years that I can personally recall. <https://www.facebook.com/maloofracing/photos/a.190320824343749/1809261115783037/?type=1&theater>. The last time I checked, it's now being driven by a third generation of the Mollicone family. In the beginning, it was brilliantly painted a candy red that rivaled anything that Big John Mazmanian ever had and was emblazoned with classic "gold leaf" lettering as shown in this picture. That paint has now faded to a reddish gold patina but the lettering has been kept up to date and the family keeps it going, generation after generation.

The owner, Larry Mollicone, is probably better known to some as the engine guru who keeps "Big Red," the renowned '69 Camaro of R.J. Gottlieb at the front of the pack year-after-year in events such as the Silver State Challenge and the Pike's Peak Hill Climb. Larry is one of the truly "nice guys" and is a master at producing horsepower.

    Thanks for posting that picture.

I've never met a Batmobile that I've liked, this abomination might be the worst.

  10. Nope
We do go downtown a lot...and that area I feel safe, lots of folks out enjoying the city and all the great things going on in it....but I get right back on the freeway and roll...those neighborhoods are still jacked up...I can’t believe what some of the hipsters are paying for to live in some of those areas..250K for a house that was at best 10K before the “re birth” my friends father sold his home sight unseen to a European investment firm for 28K.

Go take a shower. I'd rather have the Grand Sport then watching TV.

I've never seen this '58 before. Are you sure it was built this way in '58? Looks more like mid to late '60's.

It is on several sites and they all call it the same thing the 1958 Corvette Fiberfab Centurion. It does like like a 60's style so I don't know

A guy came on the Dover site looking for info on this one. A ZO6 fuel injected 63. I thought it would fit in here.

    From Wikipedia:

Centurion - about 1965. Only 5 were made with General Motors making Fiberfab stop production around the time of Goodwin's incarceration

The first fuel Injected vette built by Chevrolet to debut their new Rochester Fuel Injection system. It was used for only about a year and during that year it was raced at Nassau, Daytona, and Sebring.
