I use dressing on my salad, but my tires are naked.

 

No tire dressing for me. I think it looks goofy.

 

I have at times. Sometimes I'll hit the tires with Pledge while I'm wiping down the car with it. IT works well as a tire dressing too.

Nope, like someone else said I only use dressing on my salad. HRP

 

Clean them with Comet cleanser (or similar) using a scrub brush when washing the car. It gives tires the "proper", natural black sheen. I think "shiney' tires look silly, and generally they're blotchy if the car has been driven at all.

I use Meguiar's Natural Shine Vinyl & Rubber Protectant . It is not shiny, just makes them look clean.

I like my tires like my women...... without dressing!

 

I use Poorboys World Bold N Bright. Just one coat gives the tires a nice matte finish and it lasts a wash or two before having to reapply. Doesn’t sling off on the paint either.

Back in the olden days, I used to mix up a bowl of water with sugar in it. Wipe them down and let it dry. Not shiny looking but very black and sharp looking. As I remember it

 

I feel if you are going to the effort to clean your hobby/collector car then probably the tires should be cleaned with whatever your using on the car and a scrubbing brush. Not so sure if a dressing is required if yes then try (old school) shoe polish.

 

I use 303 UV protectant makes tires look a dark natural no shine also can be used door seals, vinyl and leather interior and the list comes on and on

Yes I use tire dressing, but it is not a high sheen product. It is a WAB tire dressing. Usually you will find it at an over road truck shop. When I was in the heavy duty truck business we sold it.

 

I just wet the tire's and spray on the stuff from the dollar store, ("Totally Awesome") and rinse it off. Shiny tire's ain't on my list.

 

Used brake fluid … wipe on, flashes off in minutes. Plus, it's free./

 

I clean the tires with Griots Garage rubber cleaner then apply their satin tire spray, it looks natural not shiny or glossy. It lasts quite awhile on my daily drivers and longer on my “good cars”. For vinyl trim on the DD’s I use Mothers Back to Black.

I sometimes use the no gloss dressing when my tires start to turn brown (tire blooming).

 

About once a year, then I wipe them down so they are not shiny

 

I use the stuff that makes the tires look new, kinda a semigloss. The shiney crap makes the tires look like plastic.

 

Look up John Deere tire dressing. It for tractor tire and to keep rubber from drying out. Not for show or shiny tires. Just to keep the rubber supple.

so unless your car is an old shitta do your tyres when you do your car, evem Armorall sprayed onto a rag then wiped onto the tyre will do at a pinch.

 

Brake fluid or any petroleum based product over time may lead to premature drying or cracking of tire surface, in other words dry rotting, think of this ever spill brake fluid on a painted surface? It takes the paint right off.
