Last week we took the GASSER PASSER down to the Xenia " GATHERING OF THE GASSERS " event and got photos of George and his son Greg standing next to the car.
Nice show. Thanks George and Greg.

    Back at it.
Started fiberglassing the missing pieces of the doors back together. This right front door had been ripped off at one time and it's really been a pain to put back together correctly so that it fits like it should.

I like working with metal....but not fiberglass. Fiberglass is to slow to work with.
I cut wood pieces to fit inside the doors and then screwed them to the original fiberglass to hold the parts of the doors in the correct position. I also used some perforated metal to reinforce the top of the door where it attaches to the hinge area. A long way to go. 100_5374.JPG 100_5375.JPG 100_5376.JPG 100_5377.JPG 100_5378.JPG 100_5379.JPG 100_5383.JPG 100_5384.JPG 100_5374.JPG 100_5375.JPG 100_5376.JPG 100_5377.JPG 100_5378.JPG 100_5379.JPG 100_5383.JPG 100_5384.JPG 100_5374.JPG 100_5375.JPG 100_5376.JPG 100_5377.JPG 100_5378.JPG 100_5379.JPG 100_5383.JPG 100_5384.JPG

  14. Oh man, I didn't know that, I hope you're in better shape now. And yeah, Growing old sucks ! :(

  15. PS- I had always wondered how you were gonna get those door together and strong again, thanks for showing us/ And I too prefer sheet metal, as Fiberglass looks so hard and complex to repair, I wonder how those Corvette shops do it, or do they just total the car and write it off these days ?

Some more work done on the door. Inside panel was warped so bad that the window molding wouldn't fit...so had to split it in several places and fiberglass it . 100_5402.JPG 100_5400.JPG 100_5395.JPG
