Me too, I check their sight about once a month. I’m not sure what “other projects” they are working on but I’d buy an offy 3x2 intake tomorrow if they would offer it!!!

Great engine choice. Early Cadillac motors are plenty strong and look great dressed up.

Well I just ordered mine! In reality there are so many other things I need before a Cadillac 3X2 intake but sometimes you just need to buy the pretty stuff to motivate you! Plus who knows how long this will be an option. With my luck I’d wait a year, they’d stop making them and some guy would want $1500 bucks for it! It does take a few phone calls though. I Had to call white owl, then offy to see if it was available then back to white owl to order it. Hopefully it will be here in a week!

Great read. I to am building a 390 Cadillac for my future ride. I'm stuck for awhile until I can locate two 390 heads to continue the project. Locating them has been a little slow. Looking forward to you finishing yours.

Beyond stoked to finally finish up my ‘61 Cadillac 390 engine build! This motor has been a long time coming and plenty of people pitched in to make it all happen. Special thanks to my good friend and previous editor of Hot Rod Magazine, Evan Perkins for the long hours he put in on this thing as well as Brian Brennan from Street Rodder Magazine for making this whole project possible. Also a huge thanks to Clive at Stromberg for the beautiful Big 97’s, linkage and fittings. Machine work from L&R Engines in Santa Fe Springs, Ca, custom billet pistons from JE Pistons, cam and lifters from Isky, pushrods from Trend Performance, rockers & shafts, intake and exhaust valves, cam and crank gears and timing chain from Egge Machine, headers from Sanderson, bearings and water pump from Speedway Motors, main and rod bolts from ARP, PowerGen from Powermaster. So many people pitched in to make this thing happen. Next it will get a Tremec TKO 5 speed using an adapter from Wilcap and a Mcleod clutch and TOB before getting dropped into my ‘34 Ford 5-window coupe project.... Then I’ll probably blow it up and put in a SBC. ;)

I feel that the engine will hold up OK, and just hope the tranny can deal with the torque:D

A Tremec TKO can definitely handle more than this thing will be able to throw at it. I think they say they can handle like 500 ft. lbs.

Cool project, I'd put that engine in my bed room so I could get up and rub it every now and then.
