Features Kustoms blues? I need to see some kustoms....

  1. Okay, I got it. @Stebo27 had a photo deleted due to OT wheels and he deleted other photos trying to stay the course.
Anyway, I thought it was interesting to see this photo of Pinky/Rosebud pop up.

Speaking of "grunt" anyone ever see a custom with a hood and a supercharger sticking up through it?

That is the result when two worlds collide!
Pick one theme and stick to it. They don't mix well together.

Bruce Geisler swapped a blown Chevy into his old Gil Ayala shop truck in the Eighties.

I saw the Herb Ogden/Pisano Buick around 1980 (before the Mazza restoration), looking much like this (below).
At the time, it had '59 Caddy tail light lenses.
Although it did not stick through the hood, the motor was a GMC-blown, dual quad 396 Chevy.

  24. The '49 GMC former Gil Ayala shop truck had nothing protruding through the hood when it appeared at Jalopyrama in 2012.

The truck is on its way back to the original green configuration, as originally built by the Ayalas.

Perhaps best of all, the Chevy V8 has been replaced with a big Jimmy 6, complete with Howard 5 carb set-up, just like the original!!

Body man Chuck Porter's shop truck has a similar history.
    https://kustomrama.com/wiki/Chuck_Porter's_1949_Ford

    1955.

Chuck sold the truck in the Fifties. Eventually it looked like this.

After Chuck's passing, his daughter, Debby Porter, looked for her dad's old truck, eventually finding it through an ad she placed in her car windshield(!). Fortunately, she was eventually able to buy it back, and it has now been restored to near original configuration, Caddy mill and all!
    Good on you, Debbie!
